Toros Tarım

Toros Tarım delivers its services to farmers within the framework of a strategic approach focused on sustainable agriculture, the protection of soil health, and the promotion of proper fertilizer use. This strategic approach shows strong alignment with the core objectives of the GYSU Project. Toros Tarım adopts a balanced fertilizer management approach that not only aims to increase crop yields, but also reduces environmental impacts, protects water resources, and ensures the long term continuity of agricultural production.

Within this framework, Toros Tarım emphasizes that information alone is not sufficient to change farmer behavior, and that it is critical for training activities to be supported by practical applications. In particular, on site demonstrations, pilot implementations, and the sharing of tangible results obtained from these practices with producers are among the most effective tools for accelerating the adoption of proper fertilization practices.

The GYSU Project provides a strong foundation for translating this approach into practice through its structure that brings together training activities and applied agricultural work. We believe that the scientific and practical outputs to be generated within the scope of the project will enable producers to learn through results they can directly observe in their own fields, creating a significant impact in terms of lasting behavior change.

For these reasons, Toros Tarım aims to take part in the GYSU Project as a project partner, combining its knowledge, experience, and technical contributions on proper fertilizer use with a collective action approach. This collaboration presents a model example that jointly strengthens productivity, environmental sustainability, and efficient resource use in agricultural production, particularly viticulture, in the Gediz Basin.
