Manisa Büyükşehir Belediyesi

The implementing organizations of the GYSU Project paid a visit to our Municipality in July 2024. During the meetings, it was determined that our priority areas of work carried out through the Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ), including the renewal of drinking water networks and reduction of water losses and leakages, the protection and efficient use of groundwater and surface water resources, and the construction of new drinking water reservoirs, transmission lines, and boreholes across the province, show a high level of alignment with the objectives of the GYSU Project.

The project also supports our Municipality’s ongoing efforts related to agricultural irrigation and water efficiency. Within this framework, a letter of support was provided for the project, and as the first step toward establishing the Dialogue Platform, the Fertilizer Management Workshop held in December 2024 was hosted by our Municipality, supporting collaborations that contribute to addressing the challenges faced in the Gediz Basin.
